A lot has been accomplished for the wedding this weekend. First, Sarah came over and helped to fold, stamp, and stuff the wedding invitations. Second, we found and bought the flower girl dresses- $35.00 is quite a steal. Third, I addressed all of my invitations. Only Ken's side is left, and I think I will end up addressing those as well. He can do all of the licking shut of the envelopes. Finally, I found and bought the flower girl thank-you gifts... very sweet little purses and "pearl" bracelets. I am officially done with all of that!
Ken and I cleaned out our closets and got rid of a bunch of clothes that either don't fit or just aren't being used. Most of the stuff was bagged-up, and we donated them to the Council for the Blind on Champaigne and Dix. And some was given to my sister-in-law. I hope she can use the clothes.
Don't get me wrong, there are things I still haven't given away; some things I swear I'll wear again. It probably won't happen, but you never know. One more year won't kill me.
Right now it's raining like crazy. There is a tornado watch unitl 11am today, and then major wind gusts up to 60 mph after 4pm. Yesterday it got up to 73 degrees- totally gorgeous! By tomorrow, however, the temps are going to fall dramatically, and it will probably snow Thursday.
